Shaped like a gourd — round at the body, tapering at the neck — and finished in matte speckled stoneware the colour of raw oatmeal. The silhouette borrows from traditional Scandinavian pottery (where gourds have been a reference shape for a century), but the surface treatment belongs to this decade.

Two sizes: 15 cm for shelves and bedsides; 20 cm for consoles and dining tables. Both read as sculpture even when empty. If you only buy one, the 20 cm is more versatile; if you buy both, don't match them with the same contents — one with branches, one empty, works best.

What does "speckled" mean exactly?
The stoneware clay contains small iron and manganese particles that fire darker than the base. The result is a subtle freckled texture — the colour of oatmeal with scattered dark grains. Reads organic rather than decorative.

Will the speckles show through dust?
No — they're part of the body of the clay, not applied on top. The surface stays visually unchanged for the lifetime of the piece.

What's the best stem for the gourd shape?
Something that mirrors the curve. One eucalyptus branch, a few olive twigs, a short bunch of ranunculus. Anything long and straight will fight the roundness; anything curved will complete it.
