Colour

A contemporary ceramic form that doesn't shout. Clean straight lines, a soft matte skin, no decoration — the kind of vessel that disappears when it needs to and anchors a room when it needs to do the opposite.

It layers well. Set it alongside a sculptural piece and it becomes a supporting player; set it alone on an empty shelf and it holds the space by itself. Either role suits it.

Good to know

How is this different from your other minimalist vases?
This one has straight walls and a slightly flared mouth — more utilitarian than sculptural. The donut vase is a shape first; this one is a container that happens to be well-designed.

Is it heavy enough for tall branches?
Yes. The base is dense ceramic — it holds a 60 cm branch without tipping. Fill a third with water for extra stability if you're using something heavy like magnolia.

Will the matte finish mark up?
Fingerprints barely register. Water rings on the base can leave a faint mark on raw wood over time — a felt pad underneath solves it.

Product Features

Every piece in the BYHIMSELF collection is handpicked and quality-checked before it reaches your door. Here's what comes standard with anything you order:

  • Curated design — chosen for visual impact, not filler. If it doesn't elevate a room, it doesn't make the cut.
  • Quality you can feel — solid materials, clean finishes and details that hold up to daily life.
  • Ready to enjoy — most pieces arrive ready to display or use within minutes, no complicated setup.
  • Protective packaging — every order is packed with care so it arrives exactly as it should.

Materials & Care

A little care goes a long way. Follow these simple guidelines to keep your BYHIMSELF pieces looking their best:

  • Ceramic & porcelain — wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Glass & crystal — clean with a microfiber cloth; for stubborn marks, use mild soapy water and dry immediately.
  • Resin & stone — dust regularly and keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour.
  • Wood & bamboo — wipe dry only, never soak. A light coat of food-safe oil now and then keeps the finish rich.
  • LED & electronics — unplug before cleaning and keep away from water. Use only the supplied adapter.

Everything you want to know

A soft matte finish does something a glossy one cannot — it absorbs light instead of bouncing it, which is why matte ceramic reads as calm on a busy shelf. Clean lines keep it from competing with whatever it stands next to. Watertight, weighted, and equally convincing with one stem or a full armful.

  • Material: ceramic
  • Finish: soft matte, clean lines
  • Interior: watertight — suits fresh blooms or dried grasses

Care

  • Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth and dry with a lint-free cloth — matte surfaces hold marks, so work gently.
  • Change the water regularly with fresh stems and rinse the interior with lukewarm water between arrangements.
  • Avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which can burnish a matte finish.
  • Handle with care — ceramic can chip if knocked.
  • Not suitable for the dishwasher, microwave or oven.
